Using the Widescreen TV setting

The Widescreen TV option tells your system whether or not it is connected to a widescreen TV. This lets the system properly fit DVD picture to the size of the TV screen.

Changing the Widescreen TV setting:

This setting is only available when using the accessory VS-2 video enhancer and when the system software is 030100 or newer. If not using the accessory or if running older software, see Setting TV Aspect Ratio instead.
  1. On the remote control, press the System button
    Tip: If the system menu does not appear on your TV, be sure the correct TV input is selected
  2. Scroll right to Video
  3. Scroll down to Widescreen TV
  4. Scroll right to select the current setting
  5. Scroll up or down to select No (for 4:3 TVs) or Yes (for widescreen TVs)
  6. Press the Exit button to exit the menu.
